NEWTOWN: OUR HOME AND OUR HEART
We have had the privilege of serving the people of newtown/nicholstown for close to forty years. Research within the last decade has shown at least 35 nationalities living on just one of the roads in the area and as an international church in the heart of the city, we want to play our part in helping to connect, build and equip those of us who call the area home.
Please take a look at the community events and services we’re offering in the coming weeks below.
We’d love to meet you.
FAQs
Here are the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the projects we’re running.
DO I HAVE TO PAY?
Most of the projects are offered free of charge. Some will have a small cost per session and that will be labelled clearly on the event as you click on the one that you’re interested in.
HOW DO I FIND YOU?
The church buildings are located on the corner of St Mary’s Road, Trinity Road and Brinton’s Road. Our postcode is SO14 0BB. Please use the following entrances:
- English Classes: Brinton’s Road entrance. Please head through through the small garden and the black gate to the door.
- Community Cafe: St Mary’s Road entrances. During the summer you’ll find us in the garden of the main church on St Mary’s Road. In the colder months please come through the small foyer entrance of our side hall on St Mary’s Road.
- The Homework Zone and B-FIT Classes: St Mary’s Road. Please use the foyer entrance to our side hall.
CAN I INVITE OTHERS?
All our projects are for the local community and open to those who need it. Some sessions are only open to those of a certain age or gender so do take a look at the details by clicking on the event itself.
WILL YOU BE RUNNING OTHER PROJECTS?
We are only able to run these projects because of the kindness of volunteers from within the church. We’d love to offer more in the near future and if you think there is a particular need for something we’re not currently offering, please do get in touch and we will see what might be possible. Our desire is to help where there is most need. Get in touch: [email protected]
